Deborah Lechner, PT, MS, is the founder and President of ErgoScience TM, Inc., a company that provides job analysis, ergonomic consultation and training, pre-hire and return-to-work physical abilities testing, worksite physical therapy, early intervention programs for employers throughout the US. Through research and publications conducted at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Ms. Lechner has developed and validated a physical abilities test and an objective, systematic job analysis process. Her research includes collaboration with the US Social Security Administration and the US Department of Labor.

Ms. Lechner has published her work in international journals and has presented numerous workshops on injury prevention and management throughout the US and abroad. Over 3,000 clinics provide ErgoScience assessments and services in the US and worldwide. She and ErgoScience lead the injury-prevention world in pioneering new technologies that have revolutionized physical abilities testing, ergonomics, and employee training. Her work has spanned over three decades, and she has worked in nearly every industry vertical, improving operational throughput, saving employers millions of dollars, and protecting over one million workers annually.
