For more than two decades, Ben Johnson has built a career leading manufacturing operations, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives at Sandvik Coromant. Working in cutting tool manufacturing in Westminster, South Carolina, Ben has progressed through roles spanning process engineering, production leadership, plant management, and site-level operational leadership, including serving as Westminster Site Production Unit Director. A Chemical Engineer with an MBA in Operations Management from Clemson University, Ben is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt recognized for driving sustainable performance improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and cost. His leadership has contributed to numerous operational successes, including Sandvik Coromant’s IndustryWeek Best Plant Award recognition and a company sustainability initiative that generated significant annual savings through ethanol recycling. Passionate about developing people and building high-performing teams, Ben believes lasting results come from empowering employees to identify problems, eliminate waste, and improve processes every day.
