Brett Wood holds the dual role of President & CEO at Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA) and Senior Executive Officer at its parent company, Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO). Wood is the first and only non-Japanese executive at TICO which is comprised of over 275 companies and over 70,000 employees. Wood oversees the Toyota Material Handling and Raymond Corporation, which includes five factories in North America, headquartered in Columbus, Indiana. With a career spanning over 30 years, Wood has extensive experience in the material handling sector, previously serving as president of Toyota Material Handling U.S.A., Inc. and holding various leadership roles in marketing, product development, strategic planning, training operations, and dealer development. In 2018, he was honored with IndustryWeek's "Manufacturing Leader of the Week" award. Wood holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University. Wood is currently serving his second term as Chairman of the Industrial Truck Association Board of Directors (ITA), is the former Chairman of the Material Handling Industry (MHI) where he currently serves as a board member, and is a former Manufacturers Board of Advisors of the Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA) member. Wood is the first Toyota executive to achieve recognition in these industry positions.
